Unfortunately, every year you can see many girls who seem to see Halloween strictly as an opportunity to be a naughty-something (nurse, nun, cop or cow-girl),  but don’t give their makeup any special thought. When it comes to beauty, eyebrows have always been the biggest challenge for me. You’re always one step before becoming the next Frida Kahlo, or turning your eyebrows into some alien looking antennas, away from any aesthetic value. Eyebrows (there should be two of them) are supposed to frame your face, not to transmit your thoughts to outer space.

Robin Tunney as Debra in the cultish Empire Records took fragile to a whole new and disturbing level. No wonder bald women got a bad rep. Long hair is one of the strongest attributes of femininity, when women decide to cut it, they seem to reject the whole concept. Many saw Britney’s famous encounter with a shaving machine as hitting rock bottom, personally I thought it was her brief moment of clarity, the point where she wanted to turn her back on the industry that built and crushed her with delight.  I envisioned her joining a Tibetan nunnery and becoming the new Mother Teresa. A month later she got extensions.

From the second I laid eyes on the fashion-savvy she-lions of WhoWhatWear.com, I was wondering why these style-smart ladies couldn’t have show up earlier in my life, like, say a year ago, when I was actually ditching weddings and other dress-heavy events just so I could avoid the humongous headache and battle cry of “What should I wear?!!!”
