Today we presented our site in front of a very respectable jury, and we are waiting for their final call – who will be the most promising startup? If to be honest, we don’t think that ranking websites in competitions is that important. What important is you – our users, your videos, the knowledge we collect here together, the value we give you in 5min. But still, since we are already here (the flight was real long), we are trying to make the best out of it.

In our next posts we will keep you posted regarding the final results of the web2.0 competition. For us, being here is a privilege; promoting 5min is a great opportunity; making some noise is always fun; and seeing Bilbao is nice as well.

But hey, we must say we are thrilled due to another thing – we have RSS feeds! From now on, you can register to each Studio, category or sub-category, and ever RSS search results. This is what makes us happy, being able to improve our platform and have more features for all of us to enjoy.

Contests are nice, but having more and more people in our community is our biggest prize.

• It’s been almost 50 days since we launched, but the people behind 5min are still anonymous (and quite frustrated, to be honest, with this anonymity). 
•  It’s almost 50 days since we’ve launched, and we’re already really tired from constantly reading the “important” blogs on the net (OK, so there’s a new aggregator that aggregates aggregators, we got that!).
•  It’s almost 50 days since we’ve launched, and if we hear the word WEB-TWO-O one more time we’re gonna scream (the buzz is over, guys) !
•  It’s almost 50 days since we’ve launched, and only now did we find the time to launch a 5min’s blog (it’s crazy, this start-up life: you always wanna do something, but never find the time to do it).

So here it is – our new blog, our way of communicating with our growing 5min community. 50 days since we’ve launched, and we have more than 250,000 visitors, more than 1,000,000 page views, more and more devoted creators. It makes us proud, no cynicism here! It makes us proud that people are choosing 5min, people want to learn and teach, people enjoy the instructional videos experience.

We don’t want this blog to be branded, we want it to be real. We want you to be able to contact us directly on a first name basis. That’s why the entire 5min team will take part in this blog, all of us will write about our experiences in this growing project. We would love to hear your thoughts as well. That’s the main reason why we’re here in the first place!
