Signed and Leased

So I took a break from blogging about myself (well, kind of) in favor of Thanksgiving, but with Thanksgiving being in the past, our bellies are full, we’ve had enough of the family, and it’s time to get back to normal. So, back to sharing my tales of house hunting and residential trials in my posts (not that I’m THAT narcissistic).
Only a few weeks ago I mentioned I was moving – well, the contracts are signed, and as of next month I am ready to move into a 90 meter square piece of loft heaven. Am I happy? Well, of course I should be, but 90 meters, well, that’s a lot to clean!
Think of all the environmental waste my cleaning chemicals are going to send off into the air! Not to mention how chapped my hands are going to get, interacting with all those chemicals. As I’m going from one to two, think of all the clothes washing, water wasting and detergents needed for all of them.
So, as always, I need some help, and simple help, nothing that will baffle me with chemical equations to make my own environmental products. Here is where the genius and always practical Dummies come to the rescue with handy ideas that are also on the planet’s good side – like this video on how to clean your home with eco-friendly products:
Surely things that are nice to the environment will be nice to my hands as well, especially as I try to use them to help the environment (my hands, that is).
The next step is making sure my household goods are recycled. I’m heavy into recycling as my super-duper friend back home was the recycling manager of the place where I lived, so it just wasn’t worth the effort not to recycle with her around.
But how do I spell it out to the man? I mean, he understands about bottles and stuff. But there is way more to recycling than separating plastic bottles from glass ones there’s cans and paper, and basically 90% of our household rubbish. I need something big, bold and dummy proof!
Now that’s sorted, I just have to go argue about the colour of the apartment…….
