A Brit’s First Thanksgiving

Do you remember your favorite Thanksgiving memory?
I don’t, probably because I haven’t had any. Thanksgivings, not memories, that is. I have plenty of memories about other stuff, well for the moment. But I am now fully willing to make some real memories about Thanksgiving instead of the ones that I have from The Little House on the Prairie or other such children’s TV programs.
The starting point is the issue for me, I know there is a turkey cooked in some kind of way…

There are also decorations that crown the table as a focal point:
The drinks begin to flow, the turkey gets carved, the food gets eaten and then sleep I can imagine is not far off on the horizon. But where do I start?? I think the best thing would be, to try some Holiday wine (tasting purposing only of course):
