A Blackberry is More Than Just a Fruit

Newsflash: a blackberry is not just a fruit, an organizer can be more than just a pen and paper and books don’t just come in paperback and hardback copies anymore! OK so this may not be big news to some of you but hey I live in a world (the one surrounded by my low tech apartment and paperback books) where my Nokia 1200 is still current and Snake is still the coolest phone game. Imagine my surprise no shock when after emerging from my low tech life I discover not just hi-tec but super hi – tec. A world where Kit the talking car from knight rider ‘aint no science fiction, and the gadgets from the starship enterprise look surprisingly dated! So you may wonder the reason for my enlightenment, well here he is “Technobuffalo”. Apparently nothing to do with a hi-tec large Oxen so phew I haven’t missed the evolution of animals to such a degree as I’ve missed the evolution of stuff! Now I say stuff as it’s not just phones that have evolved into a computer, like the iPhone 3Gs, but books also come as a PDF file on a special computerized reading device AND there is no need for a vacuum cleaner and few minutes of your time as there is a Robot that cleans and hovers your floor! Wow! But with all this hi-tec gadgetry to organize your life and clean up after you, I can’t help thinking that maids and personal assistants now probably have a much easier job, Mad men really is now, the stuff of legends!….
