Ever encounter one of those medical questions you just never had the nerve to ask? If a decade ago, you had to utilize your periodic checkups at the doctor’s office to get all those questions out of your system, today, the web brings your doctor to you – or in this case, an entire team of doctors: Dr. Travis Stork (who you may recognize from the Parisian season of “The Bachelor”), Dr. Lisa Masterson, Dr. James Sears, and Dr. Andrew Ordon.
Navigating with grace and humor through even the most complex of medical answers and explanations, CBS’s The Doctors offers an impressive resource for anyone who wishes to find out more about the way our body and its organs functions, the many, many different diseases and conditions that we may be at risk of, and advancements in treatment of these ailments.
Having grown up with a doctor dad, I sometimes feel as though he spent much of my childhood preparing me for medical disasters – I was sent to attend babysitting safety courses, first aid and emergency care classes, and taught just about every possible life-saving skill, short of surgical procedures. Unfortunately, most of us were not so lucky, and most people’s childhood did not include practicing CPR on dummies or sterilizing and bandaging open wounds… Thankfully, The Doctors are here to save the day, by showing you how you could potentially save someone’s life next time you encounter an emergency situation:
