The Useless Things We Do
Aug 21st, 2009 by Moshe
Something there is that doesn’t love a wall, Homo-sapiens tends to find ways to override limitations imposed by government, nature or reason. It’s not a matter of good and bad, just the primal urge we inherited from our hairy ancestors – the urge to override, modify, redefine purpose and hack reality. Tinkernut is taking it to the max, making things work the way they were never supposed to.
From Hacking Bluetooth Headsets to modding Gmail or making a guitar hero clone , this guy can do it all.
But I think the real magic is in the useless, doing things like hacking a PSP to run Windows 98 just because you can:
It’s not that it’s useful, you can’t make money out of it and it’s not really something to brag about – it’s just that something within us that doesn’t love a wall.
