5min Goes for Maximum Speed – Join In!

If you, like us, spend a lot of time watching streaming videos, you’ve probably noticed that no matter what site you’re cruising, there are the occasional bumps or “hiccups” in your streaming experience. You know the ones…they usually occur right when you’re waiting for the best part of the video you are viewing! Buffering problems affect almost everyone, which is why 5min is super-happy about teaming up with the Speedbit Video Accelerator. The Speedbit Video Accelerator provides a terrific solution by employing ground-breaking algorithm that effectively reduces buffering problems and video interruptions, so that your 5min experience is smoother than ever!
So, wondering how it works? True, it is not a band of little gnomes who push videos through those endless “tubes” that compromise the net as we know it. Basically, the Accelerator works by pulling up multi-connection streaming as opposed to single connection. Baffled? The end result is an up to 5 times faster connection, which handles the cache buffering (the “preloading†of the movie you usually have to wait for) with graceful efficiency and slicker speed.
After easily downloading and activating the Video Accelerator, you’ll notice a small window pop up on the right-hand bottom corner of your screen, notifying you that the acceleration is taking place. Another cool thing you might notice is that the buffering bar makes a “jump” to ensure that your video does not get “stuck” while you’re watching.
In other news, none was more excited than yours truly to lean back in front of my laptop and watch as Steve Jobs and the guys at Apple unveil their newest and hottest innovation to date, the much-anticipated MacBook Air.
Weighing in at just under 3 pounds, with a thickness of 0.16-0.76 inches, the new MacBook Air definitely proves that at least where portable computers are concerned, you can never be too skinny! With about 5 hours of battery to keep you active on the run, think of how easy it’ll be to watch videos anywhere you go!
Being a vocal fan of Apple products for their design as well as their knack for getting intuitive UI right on the money with each new product they put out (iPhone, anyone?), I simply can’t wait to adopt a MacBook Air of my own! But…Until my birthday rolls around, I will have to settle for the origami version:
